  • What is involved in a session?
Your session takes place in a comfortable, fun, relaxed home studio environment. Our studio is located in Richmond Hill ON and each session takes about an hour. You will attend with up to 2 pets from the same household and we will have a fun time capturing your pet's unique personality in stunning imagery.
  • How long does a photo session take?
Each session takes about an hour to an hour and a half and is for one or two pets from the same household and owner. After some getting to know each other and sniffing around, we will pace things to suit your pet. If some extra time is required, it's not a problem.
  • What if my pet is having trouble settling down and posing?
The number one question we get is: "How do you get them to sit still!" Don’t worry. We've got this - and with some help from you we will capture the essence of your pet. If we need some extra time - that’s fine.
  • How long after my photo shoot can I view the images?
Your selection appointment is held 2-3 weeks after your photo session and usually takes about an hour.
  • What does the selection appointment involve?
We will arrange a suitable date with you to attend your selection appointment and view your images. At the selection appointment, you will view a slideshow of selected, edited images from your photo session. Then, you will have the opportunity to select from unique high-quality products sourced from the best printers as you decide how you wish to display your photos. Please note: one selection appointment is included in your session fee. Sorry, we cannot book additional times and we do not provide digital files to take away. Please ensure that all individuals who will be deciding on images and print products are present at the selection appointment. If a second selection appointment is required, a fee could be charged.
  • What are my payment options once I’ve chosen my print products?
We accept major credit cards, debit, cash and etransfer. At your selection appointment, we require a 50% deposit at the time of ordering. Feel free to inquire about other payment plan options as well.
  • How many print products do I have to buy and can I choose the sizes?
This is totally up to you. You choose the quantity and size of wall art or other print products you would like to purchase (please note or smallest wall art size starts at 16"x16" and smallest print size is 11"x14"). We have a wide range of print products (wall art, albums, folio boxes) and packages to choose from and are happy to assist you with your choices. At the photo session and at your selection appointment, you can preview samples of our product range.
  • What print products can I choose from?
While we have a wide range of products to choose from we don't want it to be overwhelming. That's why we've narrowed it down to popular options and packages and can show you samples of these. We specialize in wall art for your wall and albums and folio (portrait) boxes for your coffee table. If you want something different, we can look at other options. It is a good idea to begin now to make decisions about where in your home you would like to display your wall art. Please note that wall art sizes begin at 11"x14".
  • How do I book a session?
The easiest way is to call us at 416-737-3708 or book online at this link. You can also send us a message here.
  • Can we do an outdoor shoot?
Dog's Life Studio Pet Photography specializes in in-studio pet portraits. However, location shoots can be arranged. Weather permitting, we have several excellent outdoor locations that we use that are within walking distance of the studio .
  • My pet has a terminal condition, can you make accommodations for this?
Rest assured, if this is your situation, we will do our best to accommodate you.
  • Dog's Life Studio eh? Do you photograph cats?
We sure do! It's a dog's life - but it's a cat's world! Cats can be trickier - but we get it done! View the portfolio section to see some examples.
